2006 Year in Review

by Daniel on January 1st, 2007

Welcome to the recap. It’s been a fun year. I’m pretty much gonna go through what I/We’ve done over the entire year, just to remember the good times! A lot has changed this year; I’ve held my longest tenure in the Single’s Club since 1998. The Club also lost Junior, Tubo as members, but added Curt and Russ for a short time and Glenn–I think. 2007 is just hours away, and I’ll be closing 2006 with family. It would have been fun to party it up with the Oak Harbor squad; next year I hope. 2007 looks to be fun; Vegas is planned for February and August, San Diego for 2 months, and the P.I. in July. I visited Kansas City, San Diego, and Vegas this year, so I got out a ton. Also, the resolutions should be in the block to the right; I’ll keep them there to see how I progress, and put my shit out on wax to keep me in line. For now, 2006 in Review–Pictures courtesy of CES!

January. The only memory I have of January is Team Oak Harbor plus at the LC House watching the Seahawks destroy Carolina to get to the Super Bowl. Also, as a reminder for how long ago January was, I remember Rex still lived in Washington (miss you), Tubo/Jon/Marvin/me/JR (now and then) would sleep at the LC House on weekends and have 3 A.M. chats that were tons of fun; the LC House was always packed and cracking. It felt like doing that would last for years, but they sure were fun.

February. The annual Superbowl game, which is always fun, along with the first of the Clubbing Birthday Bashes.

March All I can remember from March is a LOT of battlefield with Jerry and Junior’s Birthday Bash. I think I also decided I was moving back to Seattle during this time.

April We’d been doing PBL for 3 years and had no championships to show for it, until this month. Also, LC Chip Party to go along with it.

May Moved back to Seattle. I still can’t believe I lived in Bremerton this year. Thank you to Curt/Ces/Junior/Chris for helping with the move. Also, Thank you to Mel/Cienna for scoping out the current apartment while I was in Bremerton. Cienna’s Birtday Bash. Also, we had our first BarBeCue at the house then, in Oak Harbor Fashion, played basketball afterwards. Thanks kim and mel for the following shots.

June Went to San Diego for a week. I’d like to say it was a ton of fun, but I was only there a week, worked 12 hour shifts through the night. Still, I checked out the Zoo while I was there.

July July 4th and our Back to Back Championship win, along with balling at Redmond. Also, my brother and I went to our family’s annual Camping Trip. We hadn’t been to this in years. It was a relaxing and fun being with family, but that goes without saying. Definitely one of the top moments of the year.

August We had the Second Championship party, Mayen and Harvey’s Birthday Bash , and Jon/Ben/Harv/Gee/Me went to Las Vegas. Another top moment of the year.

September Family went to Oregon and Ocean Shores. It’s always good to be with family.

October Started the month staying up all night after Chris Paul’s Birthday Bash and catching a flight to Kansas City. Also, Halloween Party. I spent hours looking for a Halloween Costume, only to become a bootleg Top Gun.
November Pre Thanksgiving Party. Thanksgiving. Black Friday where my Bro and I attempted the 12 hour stand for it.

December Birthday Bash, Christmas Break. Thanks again to Paul Wall for setting up the birthday bash.

Somewhere in those months, Mel/Kim/Paul/Jr/Me had a visit to Down Under, where I learned anywhere can be fun with enough alcohol, but I don’t know when that was. Oh and lastly for fun, check out how my hair had a life of its own over the year.
